Look/See/Listen/Hear celebrates Indianapolis's emerging artists, musicians, and designers

Herron School of Art and Design's highly anticipated annual event, "Look/See/Listen/Hear," will display works from undergraduate and graduate students on Wednesday, May 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. This celebration, held at Eskenazi Hall (735 W. New York St.) and the Eskenazi Fine Arts Center (1410 Indiana Ave.), marks the culmination of the academic year and spotlights an array of creative disciplines.

The evening will feature the impressive works of students completing their undergraduate and graduate degrees. This diverse showcase encompasses paintings, sculptures, installation art, design solutions, musical performances, and scholarly research, reflecting the dedication and innovation of Indianapolis's emerging visual artists, designers, musicians, and art educators.

Among the highlights of "Look/See/Listen/Hear" are:

  • Graduate Thesis Exhibitions: A spotlight on the exceptional talents of M.A. and M.F.A. students. Graduates will display their culminating works developed over intensive two-year programs. The exhibitions will be on view through May 22 in Herron's Berkshire, Reese, and Paul Galleries and the Basile Gallery in Eskenazi Hall.
  • Screenings and Exhibitions: Enjoy time-based media artworks, title sequence projects, hybrid photography approaches, and music technology thesis presentations at Eskenazi Hall and the Eskenazi Fine Arts Center.

The festivities extend beyond the exhibitions with opportunities to explore, indulge in light appetizers, and celebrate Indianapolis' emerging artists, musicians, and designers. Complimentary event parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the Eskenazi Fine Arts Center and at the Sports Complex Garage adjacent to Eskenazi Hall or levels 5 and 6 of the Riverwalk Garage, courtesy of The Great Frame Up, using a special code from the galleries. Additionally, shuttle bus services between Eskenazi Hall and the Eskenazi Fine Arts Center will be available throughout the evening.
